Below are answers to frequently asked questions about Delaware Christian Academy. We encourage you to contact us if you have any unanswered questions.
1. Can I send my child part-time?
Yes, but you will still pay full tuition rates. We offer both a full time preschool/childcare and a part time preschool. The part time preschool is offered September-May. Call our center to speak with someone regarding the upcoming preschool dates.
2. How do I enroll my child?
Call the center today at 740-369-2524 to set up a personalized tour. Our Administrative Staff will guide you through the enrollment process.
3. Do I have to be a member of Delaware Christian Church?

4. What is your teacher to child ratio?
We follow the guidelines given to us by our local licensing agency.
- 18 months through 2 1/2 years 1:7
- 2 1/2 years through 3 years 1:8
- 3 years 1:12
- 4 and 5 years 1:14
- School Age 1:18
5. What type of training do your teachers receive?
We follow the guidelines from our licensing agency when hiring our teachers. The teacher’s backgrounds range from those with Masters or Bachelor Degrees in Education, Associates in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development Accreditation, to experience in the field. Our teachers are required to have training in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease control, and Child Abuse Prevention.
6. Do you offer a summer program?
Our full time preschool/childcare program runs through the entire year. We offer a School Age Summer program for children who are going into Kindergarten through 4th grade.
7. What type of curriculum do you use?
Our curriculum is thematic involving hands on experiences that support growth in kindergarten readiness skills. We use the Beginners Bible and related activities to help your child grow spiritually.
8. If we take vacation for a week, do we have to pay?
Yes, however when we close the center the week between Christmas and New Year that is a tuition free week for all enrolled.
